METHOD OF ROLLING UP A GROUP OF CIGARETTES WITH SHEET-LIKE PACKING MATERIAL HAVING EXTRACTING OPENING PORTION, AND CORRESPONDING CIGARETTE PACKAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of rolling up a group of cigarettes with a sheet-like inner packing material without damaging tip-end portions of the cigarettes.

SOLUTION: The method includes: a step for contacting a first end face of the group of cigarettes with a planar sheet-like packing material 22 so that a long transverse ridge line of the group of cigarettes is parallel to a short side of the sheet-like packing material and a short transverse ridge line of the group of cigarettes is parallel to a long side of the sheet-like packing material; a step for completely covering both of wide side faces of the group of cigarettes with the sheet-like packing material by folding the sheet-like packing material in a U-shape along the long transverse ridge line of the first end face; a step for folding the sheet-like packing material on a second end face of the group of cigarettes; and a step for folding the sheet-like material on a narrow side face of the group of cigarettes.
