<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform authentication exclusion treatment to specific connection equipment when connecting the connection equipment to a network mounted in a ship. <P>SOLUTION: When the connection equipment is connected to the network, it is decided whether the connection equipment corresponds to authentication exclusion equipment or not (step S3). When the connection equipment does not correspond to the authentication exclusion equipment, authentication operation to the connection equipment is performed (steps S4-S8). When the connection equipment corresponds to the authentication exclusion equipment, the authentication operation to the connection equipment is exempted (step S8). Thereby, the authentication operation is performed when the connection equipment does not correspond to the authentication exclusion equipment, while the authentication operation is exempted when the connection equipment corresponds to the authentication exclusion equipment.
