PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the peeling damage of a band cord while making excellent high speed durability and a vibration characteristic exhibited. SOLUTION: This band cord 10 is constituted of a composite cord 17 formed by twisting a strand 15 of a highly elastic filament Fa and a strand 16 of a low elastic filament Fb. A stress-elongation curve of the band cord 10 has a low elastic region S1 from an origin to an inflection point P and a highly elastic region S2 beyond the inflection point P. An inflection point P is in a range of elongation 2-7%, and a ratio EH/EL of an elastic modulus EH of the highly elastic region S2 and an elastic modulus EL of the low elastic region S1 is taken as 2-10. An elastic modulus E1 of the highly elastic filament is 15,000-27,000 MPa, and a complex elastic modulus E* of the topping rubber of a band ply is 4.0-15.0 MPa. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
