The use of system using an electric motor (2) provided for driving a transmission (1), and an angle sensor (3) provided for detecting an angle position of a rotor shaft of the electric motor. The sensor determines a slip value of the electric motor, and an evaluation unit (4) is provided for determining a value for load from the determined slip value, and a value for wear or ageing of the transmission is determined from the slip value. The sensor and the evaluation unit are integrated in a common housing.
