#CMT# #/CMT# The sheet material (10) has a base layer made of a fluid-absorbing material, and an inner layer made of a fluid-resistant material, where the inner layer is connected with the base layer by an adhesive. The inner layer has a row of sprocket holes (22-1, 22-2, 24-1, 24-2) along a folding line of cover folds (14-1, 14-2, 18-1, 18-2) to be formed, where the sprocket holes extend through the inner layer till the base layer, and are distributed over the folding length. The base layer is moisturized along the folding line by the sprocket holes. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for forming a book cover (2) a device for forming a row of sprocket holes on an inner layer. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Sheet material for forming a cover of a book (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to a catalog, brochure, journal, magazine, pocket book, diary and visitor's book. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The fluid-resistant inner layer is formed on the fluid-absorbing base layer, which is moisturized along the folding line by the sprocket holes of the inner layer, thus reducing resetting force and reopening of the folds after the folding procedure of the sheet material. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a front view of an unfolded, flat material piece in the form of a material double sheet for forming two book covers. 10 : Sheet material 12 : Separating line 14-1, 14-2, 18-1, 18-2 : Cover folds 16-1, 16-2 : Wrapping covers 20-1, 20-2 : Front covers 22-1, 22-2, 24-1, 24-2 : Sprocket holes. |
