METAL HYDROXY CARBONATE NANO PARTICLE COATED PHOSPHOR AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

<p>A phosphor coated with metal hydroxy carbonate nano particles is provided to ensure excellent adhesive property of coating particles, dispersibility, thermal stability while maintaining luminance for a long term and to improve the thermal stability and lifetime property of a displaying device. A phosphor is coated with metal hydroxy carbonate nano particles on the surface. The coating weight of the metal hydroxy carbonate nano particles is 0.05-15 weight% based on the phosphor. A method for manufacturing a phosphor coated with metal hydroxy carbonate nano particles, comprises (a) a step for manufacturing a mixture by dissolving a metal precursor and urea(NH2CONH2) in solvent; (b) a step for dispersing the phosphor in the mixture solution; (c) a step for controlling the pH of the dispersed mixture to a range maintaining the ion state of metal; and (d) a step for heating the mixture solution.</p>
