HEAD PROTECTION AIRBAG DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly open a ceiling material, covering an airbag remaining stored above a rear pillar from the inside of a vehicle interior, prior to the development of the airbag to the inside of the vehicle interior with a simple configuration.

SOLUTION: An inflation and development part 74 as a ceiling-material displacing means is formed along in a vehicle front-rear direction below a rear gas supply part 58 for an airbag 16. The inflation and development part 74 is coupled to the vicinity of a front end part 58A of the rear gas supply part 58 from the vehicle lower side by a coupling part 74C formed above the rear end part 74B toward the vehicle upper part. At the beginning of the development of the airbag 16, gas from an inflator 12 flows into the inflation and development part 74 from gas blowout holes 75 of a front inner tube 64 so as to allow the inflation and development part 74 to push and open the terminal part 90B of a roof headlining 90 in the inside direction of a vehicle interior.
