<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that it has been difficult to screen seeds, having pathogens mixed in seeds and stunted seeds due to random sampling and that problems may be caused in breeding, since variety purity test, component analysis, germination rate test, and moisture content test, which are what is called destructive tests, have been conventionally performed to randomly extract seeds from among a large number of seeds to perform prescribed tests in a process of the analysis and screening of superior seeds for improving the yield rate of agricultural products since plant seeds have been increasingly indispensable for human lives as food or biofuel materials. <P>SOLUTION: A method and an apparatus for seed test uses terahertz electromagnetic waves for implementing nondestructive test of seeds are obtained; and it is possible to perform component test of seeds in a viable state due to nondestructive test and measure the component distribution with high accuracy, moisture content distribution, etc. inside the seeds and constitute the apparatus for nondestructively analyzing seeds in a state of cold preservation, as they are. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
