PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication terminal excellent in power saving and capable of quickly connecting to a desired radio network only when it moves into the area of the desired radio network, without need for an operation by a user, and to provide its radio communication method. SOLUTION: A radio communication terminal 101 can be connected to a radio access point 102, which manages a radio area 103. The radio communication terminal 101 has a migration detection means 11 and a communication control means 12. The migration detection means 11 detects the amount of migration of the radio communication terminal 101. When the amount of migration detected by the migration detection means 11 does not change for a predetermined period, the communication control means 12 starts searching for the access point 102.
