PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor for which increase in cost and operating noise can be suppressed, and to provide an electric power steering device that uses the same. SOLUTION: In this motor 13, an output shaft 71 of a rotor 70 is supported by a bearing 59 disposed inside a bearing housing 58; at least in an inner circumference portion of the bearing housing 58, a plurality of recesses 80 are formed, being spaced apart, in the circumferential direction; and the bearing 59 is supported, by bringing the outer ring 86 of the bearing 59 into contact with the inside of elastic support portions 82 that are fit in the individual recesses 80.
