<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag capable of quickly releasing joint by a separable joint member between the tip side of a cover member and the airbag as a whole so that the airbag can be quickly and substantially homogeneously inflated as a whole, and an airbag device equipped with the airbag. <P>SOLUTION: A vent hole 18 for making the inside and the outside of the airbag 10 communicate with each other is formed at a rear panel 14 of the airbag 10, and the vent hole 18 is covered from the inside of the airbag 10 with the cover member 60. The tip side of the cover member 60 and an overlap portion of the front panel 12 and the rear panel 14 of the airbag 10 which overlap the tip side of the cover member 60 are jointed by a tear seam 70 so as to be releasable from each other. Within 10-30 mS from a time when the inflator 36 is operated so that the airbag 10 starts its inflation, the tear seam 70 is broken to release the joint among the front panel 12, the rear panel 14 and the tip side of the cover member 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
