<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food cooking tool which can subject food to a simple cooking (baking, frying, boiling or the like) by using a heating element which reacts with water to generate heat. <P>SOLUTION: The food cooking tool 1 is provided with a relatively deep lower container 3, an upper container 5 which is stacked on the lower container 3 and receives food to be prepared and the heating element 10 which is housed in the lower container 3 and reacts with water to generate heat. The heating element 10 reacts with water and swells and its bag 11 touches the bottom wall 5c of the upper container 5. The upper container 5 is made of a material which exhibits a heat conductivity of 100 W m<SP>-1</SP>K<SP>-1</SP>or more and has a thickness of 100-300μm.
