PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To redude noise caused by the traveling of a belt, to improve the durability of the belt, and also to improve the impact resistance of a block. SOLUTION: This V-belt B for a high load power transmission includes at least one tension belt 10 endlessly extending in a ring shape and also includes the blocks 20 engaged and fixed to place at predetermined pitches in the longitudinal direction of the tension belt 10. The blocks 20 have contact surfaces 30 located at opposite ends in the lateral direction of the belt and coming into contact with a pulley. On the blocks 20, there is a tilt surface 31 formed to continue from the contact surfaces 30 to the inner peripheral side of the belt and tilting relative to the contact surfaces 30 toward the center in the lateral direction of the belt. The angle of each tilt surface 31 relative to a corresponding contact surface 30 is set not smaller than 120 degrees but not larger than 140 degrees. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
