PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing unit capable of holding the rotating performance by preventing a thrust bearing from rotation, dislocation, etc. and establishing a favorable cost performance by enhancing the use efficiency of the material for thrust bearing. SOLUTION: Arrangement according to the invention comprises a shaft 31, a radial bearing 33 to make supporting in the circumferential direction of the shaft 31, and the thrust bearing 34 to support the shaft 31 at its one end about the thrust direction, and a housing 35 fitted internally with the radial bearing 33 and the thrust bearing 34, wherein the thrust bearing 34 is shaped polygonal when projected on a plane approximately perpendicularly intersecting the thrust direction.
