PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front vehicle body structure of an automobile capable of improving support rigidity in a cowl part, while dispersing a load in a head-on collision by an auxiliary frame member. SOLUTION: This front vehicle body structure has an auxiliary frame 23 having the front end connected to a rear part of a front side frame 6 and having the rear end connected to an apron panel 5b of a rear part of a suspension tower 5, by extending upward by passing through under the cowl member composed of a cowl front member 10, a cowl cross reinforcement 11, a cowl front side member 17 and a cowl panel 19, while forming a closed cross section between the suspension tower 5 and itself, and has a dash cross member 3 having the side end connected to a rear part of the auxiliary frame 23, while forming a closed cross section 4 between a dash lower panel 2 and itself under the cowl front member 10 and the cowl front side member 17 constituting the cowl member.
