PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper arm unit of a folding table which has upper arms attached to the lower surfaces of both sides of a top panel and connected to the upper end of a leg body in such a way as turned in the vertical direction and has lock mechanism parts disposed inside the upper arms for retaining the top panel in a horizontal attitude or in a raised attitude, and permitting the confirmation of motions and stock management as a unit by composing the left and right lock mechanism parts as a unit. SOLUTION: A lock metal fitting 17 and an operation member 18 for operating the lock metal fitting are independently turnably disposed between side panels 15 of the upper arms 13, and a lock pin 22 to be engaged with a top panel fixture 16 is attached to the front end of the lock metal fitting. The lock metal fitting is urged by a resilient urging means 25 in the direction of engaging the lock pin with the top panel fixture, The operation member has a presser part 59 to abut on an operation piece 28 of the lock metal fitting to drive the operation piece in the unlocking direction, and a square hole 58, to which a shaft 53 to associate the left and right lock mechanism parts is fitted unturnably, is formed to penetrate the center part of the presser part.
