<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of cracks of sheet bodies due to a difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the sheet bodies and support members in a solid oxide fuel cell in which the sheet bodies and the support members are alternately laminated. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 10 has a structure in which the sheet bodies 11 and the support members 12 to support the sheet bodies 11 are alternately laminated. Perimetric portions of the sheet body 11, an upper support member 122, and a lower support member 121 are sealed to one another with seal materials 13. First seal portions 13a are of glass having a softening point lower than an operation temperature of the fuel cell 10, and seal each of the upper surface of the perimetric portion of the sheet body 11 and the lower surface of the perimetric portion of the upper support member 122 as well as the lower surface of the perimetric portion of the sheet body 11 and the upper surface of the perimetric portion of the lower support member 121. A second seal portion 13b is of glass having a softening point higher than the operation temperature, and seals the lower side end of the perimetric portion of the upper support member 122 and the upper side end of the perimetric portions of the lower support member 121. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
