摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve accurate estimation of impurity concentration, in a fuel cell system variably regulating pressure of a fuel gas system. <P>SOLUTION: A method is used for estimating impurity concentration of the fuel cell system 1 provided with: a fuel cell 2; the fuel gas system 4 having a fuel gas supply passage 22 for running a fuel gas supplied from a fuel supply source 21 to the fuel cell 2; a variable pressure regulation valve 26 variably regulating pressure of the fuel gas flowing through the fuel gas supply passage 22; and a purge valve 29 for discharging the gas from the fuel gas system 4. The method comprises: a step S42 of calculating the gas residual ratio in the fuel gas system 4 after the purge based on a discharge amount command value of the gas discharged from the purge valve 29; a step S43 of calculating impurity partial pressure in the fuel gas system 4 based on the calculated gas residual ratio; and a step S44 of calculating the estimated impurity concentration in the fuel gas system 4 by dividing the calculated impurity partial pressure by the pressure command value of the fuel gas supplied to the fuel cell 2 from the variable pressure regulation valve 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
