<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometrics device whose space saving is achieved, and whose authenticating precision is increased. <P>SOLUTION: This biometrics device is provided with a first light source for generating the rays of light to be emitted to an object; a first light guide part from whose surface the rays of light to be emitted from the object are made incident, and from whose end face the incident rays of light are output; a light detection part for detecting the rays of light to be output from the end face of the first light guide part as a signal; a liquid crystal display part arranged between the object and the surface of the first light guide part; a control part for controlling display by the liquid crystal display part; and a signal processing part for processing a signal detected by the light detection part. The control part controls display by the liquid crystal display part so that the position where the rays of light emitted from the object are made incident to the surface of the first light guide part can be changed, and the signal processing part creates an image including the biological pattern of the object based on the signal detected by the light detection part for every changed incidence position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
