PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user-friendliness of an absolute-video-recording function for always recording data for a predetermined time in accordance with a reception channel of a television receiver connected via an HDMI (high definition multimedia interface) cable. SOLUTION: If the reception data of a first channel when the reception channel of the television receiver 30 changes from the first channel to another channel during absolute recording is CM data, a control section 1 does not follow channel switching of the television receiver 30, but continues absolute-recording of the reception data of the first channel. If the reception channel of the television receiver 30 is not returned to the first channel after a predetermined time elapses, the control section 1 switches the channel of absolute-recording to a reception channel of the television receiver 30 at that point.
