PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaking strength measuring device capable of measuring accurately and surely a breaking torque between the center shaft of a roller member and an elastic layer bonded to its outer circumference. SOLUTION: A pair of guide members 12A, 12B has guide surfaces 12Aa, 12Ab, 12Ba, 12Bb disposed in parallel in the vertical direction across the axis L of a rubber roller 1 supported on support members 6A, 6B, and sandwiches the upper and lower fixing members 10, 11, while sliding both side faces 10c, 10d, 11c, 11d of upper and lower fixing members 10, 11 in the vertical direction (arrow B direction) along the guide surfaces 12Aa, 12Ab, 12Ba, 12Bb, and buffles 13Aa, 13Ab, 13Ba, 13Bb for blocking rotation of the upper and lower fixing members in the abutting state on both side faces 10c, 10d, 11c, 11d having standing walls in parallel with the guide surfaces 12Aa, 12Ab, 12Ba, 12Bb are formed.
