PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting apparatus whose cutting blade securely performs a half-cutting operation and whose abutment portion to keep an interval between a cutting edge and a blade receiving surface is hard to be abraded. SOLUTION: A half-cutting mechanism portion 20 to only cut a printed tape 6b of a laminated tape 6 having a peeling tape 6a and the printed tape 6b comprises: a fixed frame 27 to receive the laminated tape 6; a movable frame 21 to apply a cutting force F (refer to Figure 6) to a cutting blade 22 provided with a cutting edge 22a and to rotate around an axially supported portion 28 so as to make the cutting edge 22a attached to or detached from the fixed frame 27; a clamping plate projection portion 23a to keep an interval corresponding to a thickness t of the peeling tape 6a between the fixed frame 27 and the cutting edge 22a when the movable frame 21 abuts the fixed frame 27; a clamping plate abutment portion 23b; and a fixed frame abutment portion 27d. A straight line S1 connecting an application point 25 where the cutting force F is applied to the cutting blade 22 by the movable frame 21 with the axially supported portion 28 is parallel to the cutting edge 22a.
