PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating a spent catalyst capable of easily removing dust and a poisoning substance accumulated on its surface and in its pores. SOLUTION: The method for regenerating a spent catalyst is characterized by producing cavities by spraying pressurized water in water and placing the same in the water containing the cavities to remove a poisoning substance from the surface of the spent catalyst.
