A refrigerator has a refrigerating compartment and a vegetable compartment that are convenient with respect to their spaces and positional heights, has an ice making compartment of a relatively small capacity, the ice making compartment being placed at an appropriate height to enhance use convenience, has a spacious and large freezing compartment to increase storage volume efficiency, has an aesthetically enhanced appearance with neat design providing users with an impression that the refrigerator is large and spacious, and has great strength. The refrigerator has the refrigerating compartment (6) at the uppermost part of a heat-insulated box body, the vegetable compartment (11) at the lower part of the inside of the refrigeration compartment, a cooling storage compartment (19) and the ice-making compartment (18) that are arranged next to each other while being partitioned by a vertical partition plate and are placed below the refrigeration chamber with a heat insulation partition wall (5) in between, and a drawer door type freezing compartment (22) that is located at the lowermost part of the body so as to be adjacent to both the cooling storage compartment and the ice-making compartment and extends along the entire width of the body. Thus, the inside of the body is divided into four sections.
