An expansion joint for preventing inflow of foreign material is provided to improve the durability of bridge without disturbing expansion of the bridge due to the accumulation of foreign materials. An expansion joint for preventing inflow of foreign material comprises a pair of finger joint boards(10) in which a finger peak(11) and a finger groove(12) are alternately formed, an auxiliary plate(20) for connecting the finger joint board to a bridge, and a foreign material blocking plate(30) bent down and combined to the auxiliary plate with a joint member(31) in order to contact with the bottom of the finger peak.
