<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device and its control method, capable of avoiding lighting of a light source when a power supply key is operated by mistake in the off state. <P>SOLUTION: In a projector 1, when the power supply key is operated (on-operated) after being switched to a standby state by an automatic power-off function, a control part 20 suspends lighting of the light supply 11 for a predetermined time, and when the power supply key is again operated within the predetermined time, lighting of the light source 11 is stopped and it returns to the standby state. Therefore, even when a user operates (on-operates) the power supply key by mistake in order to switch to the standby state without noticing being switched to the standby state by the automatic power-off function, it is possible to prevent the light source 11 from being lighted by again operating the power supply key while lighting of the light source 11 is suspended. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
