WALKING SUPPORT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking support apparatus in which the operation part of a lifting force setting mechanism can be easily installed at a part where a user easily operates it and the position of the operation of the lifting force setting mechanism can be variably set to the position where the user easily operates it according to the difference of the physique of the user further.

SOLUTION: The walking support apparatus 1 includes: a column 2; a suspension rod 3; a human body suspension point 4; a mechanism suspension point 8; an elastic expanding/contracting mechanism 5 suspended at the mechanism suspension point; an adjusting rope 6 whose one end is connected to the lower part of the elastic expanding/contracting mechanism; and the lifting force setting mechanism 7 for setting lifting force to be imparted to a human body suspended at the human body suspension point by adjusting the expanding/contracting amount of the elastic expanding/contracting mechanism by winding or rewinding the adjusting rope. The lifting force setting mechanism 7 includes: a winding part 101 for winding and rewinding the other end part; an operation shaft 108 provided with the operation part (operation handle 107); and a free joint 109 for interconnecting the end part of the winding shaft of the winding part and the end part of the operation shaft.
