PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which the application of an electric field to liquid crystal molecules is improved. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises a substrate and a pixel array deposited on the surface of the substrate. The pixel array is provided with at least a thin-film transistor and a pixel electrode connected with the thin-film transistor, and is formed on a layer upper than the thin-film transistor with respect to the substrate.
