PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic system capable of simultaneously using two scopes of different kinds and being made compact and inexpensive as a whole. SOLUTION: The endoscopic system includes: a light source unit 4 for generating first illumination light and second illumination light; a first scope 1 and a second scope 2 of different kinds; a first brightness detection means 1x and a second brightness detection means 2x for respectively detecting brightness information from a first object and a second object by the scopes 1 and 2; a first light control signal generation means 25 and a second light control signal generation means 26 for generating a first light control signal and a second light control signal on the basis of the brightness information detected respectively in the brightness detection means 1x and 2x; and a first illumination light control means 13 and a second illumination light control means 15 for controlling the first illumination light and the second illumination light on the basis of the first light control signal and the second light control signal respectively generated in the light control signal generation means 25 and 26.
