PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the start of winding and the end of winding from touching the other thing, and to further shorten the axial length of a flat motor. SOLUTION: A riser 8 is extended radially outward from a commutator 4 and turned up to the commutator side, and an axial through hole 5 facing the riser 8 is formed in the core 3. A wire W for winding is hooked, the riser with its start of winding and end of winding hooked is caulked in the axial direction of the commutator by means of a seating member 12 that pass through the axial through hole 5, and a cutter/caulking member 29 provided on the commutator side and then its start of winding and end of winding are held so that the protruded portion near the riser can be cut by means of the cutter/caulking member. Since the protrusion can be shortened, contacting of the end of winding and an adjacent riser or a transient wire can be eliminated, and the axial length of the commutator can be shortened by the radially extending riser.
