PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transition conductor joint type stator coil in which axial projection length of the coil end is reduced sharply. SOLUTION: A transition conductor 32 for connecting slot conductors 12 and 17 has a width equal to the upper half of the radial width of the slot conductors 12 and 17, and a transition conductor 33 for connecting slot conductors 15 and 22 has a width equal to the lower half of the radial width of the slot conductors 15 and 22 wherein the transition conductors 32 and 33 are arranged to overlap in the axial direction.
