PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive assisting device that reduces damage on road surfaces and extends the life. SOLUTION: A drive assisting device 1, which is mounted on a vehicle and assists stop control by setting a stop position C in which the vehicle is stopped, is provided with a drive assisting ECU 10 including: a reference position setting section 11 setting a stop line position A as a reference position serving as a reference for determining a stop position; and a stop position setting section 12 setting a position spaced apart inwardly from the reference position by an offset amount B, as the stop position C.
