PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel designed so that a flexible printed board is securely accommodated in it without increasing the number of components and the diameter of the lens barrel and to provide an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The lens barrel includes a two-group lens unit 7, FPCs 8 and 9, a base member 13, a CCD 14, a CCD holding frame 16, and a cover member 21. The base member 13 fixes the CCD holding frame 16 and has a through-hole 13a. The two-group base plate 70 of the two-group lens unit 7 is movable along the direction of an optical axis between a photographing position and a stored position and is provided with a guide part 7c. In the stored position of the lens barrel, the guide part 7c for the two-group lens unit 7 is inserted into the through-hole 13a of the base member 13 and also projects on the non-subject side from the CCD holding frame 16.
