PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a different pipe joint for reliably connecting a metal socket to a resin pipe such as a polyethylene pipe in a simple structure without using a fastening bolt, while eliminating the possibility of separation and water leakage even when outer force such as earthquake is applied thereto. SOLUTION: The different pipe joint comprises a bayonet pawl 13 protruded on the end outer peripheral face of the metal socket 10a, an annular connection member 14 having a bayonet groove 18 to be bayonet connected to the bayonet pawl 13, a ring-shaped engaging member 15 arranged on the inner periphery of the annular connection member 14, and a turn preventing piece 16 for preventing the turn of the annular connection member 14 after bayonet connection. In the inner periphery 14 of the annular connection member, a storage groove 14c is formed for storing the ring-shaped engaging member 15. On the inner peripheral face of the storage groove 14c, a conical portion 14e is provided with its diameter gradually larger as tending to the side of the socket 10a for shrinking the diameter of the ring-shaped engaging member 15 stored in the storage groove 14c. The turn preventing piece 16 is inserted between an opening portion 18a of the bayonet groove 18 after bayonet connected and the bayonet pawl 13 adjacent thereto. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
