PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile carriage apparatus allowing a plurality of carriages connected with one another to pass through a carriage including a right-angled or U-turn curve section in a tunnel at a time, and a moving method. SOLUTION: The mobile carriage apparatus comprises a plurality of mobile carriage 22 connected with one anther, causing a plurality of carriages 25a, 25b, 25b... connected with one another to ride on turn travel rails 21 from first travel rails 5a, or on the turn travel rails 21 from second turn travel rails 5b and capable of moving on the turn travel rails 21, an operating means for operating the mobile carriages 22, 22... on the turn travel rails 5b and a connection means 30 provided between the mobile carriages 22, 22 and holding connection of the mobile carriages 22, 22 with each other in the state of keeping the front section and the rear section of the mobile carriages 22, 22... in contact with each other without any clearance when the carriages are caused to ride on the first or second travel track from the mobile carriages 22, 22... and are caused to ride on the mobile carriages from the first or second travel track in a pushing operation mode.
