PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a constant image quality by responding to a delay of response of laser beam when ON/OFF is performed in a modulation circuit. SOLUTION: Laser beam generally has a delay in response, and requires time until it reaches a target light intensity after a control signal is given. According to the present invention, the device includes a charge and discharge circuit so that overshoot is caused by discharge when output of laser beam is raised.
