PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily manufacturing an effective insect-proof light source which is an insect-proofing method utilizing phototaxis of insects. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the light source for insect control comprises mixing an imidazolone pigment, a clear coating, a curing agent and a thinner and coating on a glass tube of a white fluorescent lamp, wherein the insect-proof light source cuts radiated light of a wave length of 0.50μm or less, by the coating of the mixture of the imidazolone pigment and the clear coating, and the radiated light of a wave length in the range of 0.45 to 0.53μm is changed by changing the ratio of the content of the clear coating.
