OPTICAL FIBER PROBE FOR SIDE IMAGING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

An optical fiber probe capable of performing side imaging and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to miniaturize an optical measuring system by miniaturizing size of an optical fiber probe. An optical fiber probe capable of performing side imaging comprises a photonic crystal fiber(101) and an optical fiber lens. The optical fiber lens is generated by removing an air hole inside a heated region after heating a predetermined region including one end of the photonic crystal fiber. The optical fiber lens performs a side imaging by expanding a light progressed according to a core of the photonic crystal fiber.
