<p>A method for setting up an automatic re-transmission time and an apparatus therefor are provided to set up the automatic re-transmission time after reflecting the data transmission delay changed according to the state of a channel, thereby preventing data from being repeatedly re-transmitted. An apparatus for setting up an automatic re-transmission time comprises the followings: a re-transmission managing unit(503) which sets up the re-transmission time by using a parameter obtained through the DSA(Dynamic Service Addition); an RTT(Round Trip Time) measuring unit(505) which measures the RTT for a preset time to obtain the average; a timer updating unit(507,509,511) which obtains the current RTT average by using the obtained RTT average and previous RTT average, and then compares the current RTT average with the previous RTT average to update the re-transmission time; and a timer(515) which measures the re-transmission time.</p> |
