<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strap for portable electronic equipment, which can stably support the self-standing state of the portable electronic equipment and which is advantageous in terms of miniaturization and thinning of the portable electronic equipment, and to provide the portable electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The strap 20 has a belt body (strap body) 22 whose length is larger than thickness and width and which is deformable in its thickness direction. A coupling part 24 where coupling plate parts 23 formed at both ends of the belt body 22 are overlapped and coupled to relatively rotate by a pin 26 is constituted. By rotating the belt body 22 around the coupling part 24, the belt body 22 is set to have a contour extending annularly on a surface to be placed while its width direction is in an up-and-down direction, and a strap-side connection part 28 is connected to a video camera 10 and the video camera 10 is placed on the surface to be placed together with the belt body 22 having the contour extending annularly.
