PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of quickly presenting a navigation route. SOLUTION: In the navigation device 1, when departure point map data and destination point map data are different map data, one of the map data to be used in the route search from the departure point to the destination point is sequentially acquired from the side of the destination point, the acquired one of the map data is developed in a RAM 152, and a switching point is then extracted from among the developed map data. Thereafter, when the destination point map data are developed, route costs from the switching point at the side of the extracted departure point in the destination point map data to the destination point are calculated, the switching point at the side of the departure point in which the calculated route costs are at the minimum is determined, and the navigation from the departure point to the destination point via the switching point at the side of the departure point determined in the destination point map data is performed.
