摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a liquid supply device, capable of reducing the waste of liquid as much as possible by accurately counting the consumption of the liquid in a liquid storage part, the liquid supply device, a printer, and a medium processor. SOLUTION: The control method of an ink supply mechanism for pressurizing the inside of an ink cartridge to supply ink to an ink jet head comprises steps of performing suction cleaning for sucking the ink through a nozzle of the ink jet head (step S1); calculating, based on a correlation between ink residual quantity in the ink cartridge and ink suction quantity by suction cleaning, an ink suction quantity by the suction cleaning from an ink residual quantity value within the ink cartridge before suction cleaning which is determined from an ink consumption counter for counting the consumption of the ink cartridge (step S3); and adding the calculated ink suction quantity to the consumption counter to store a new ink consumption (step S4).
