PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fasten split stators (stator cores) which is to be arranged circular, with high accuracy, in externally fitting a thermally expanded outer ring, by unfailingly positioning and holding the split stators. SOLUTION: In a stator fastening device that circularly interlocks, disposing a plurality of split stators and externally fitting an outer ring for shrink-fitting to fasten the split stators, the split stators placed on a split stator placing pedestal are each set so that its outer and inner circumferences are clamped with an outer circumference positioning material and an inner circumference positioning material, the heated outer ring for shrink-fitting is held in a lifting/lowering mechanism, the outer ring for shrink-fitting is moved to the outer circumference side of the circularly interlocked split stators, and the outer positioning material is externally fitted to the outer circumference of the split stators, while being pushed out, and the split stators are fastened using radial contraction due to the lowering of the temperature of the outer ring for shrink-fitting.
