PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform the maintenance of a telephone directory database. SOLUTION: A mobile phone 1 includes: an internal memory 12 which stores a telephone directory database for storing individual telephone directory data of communication partners; an external memory 13 that is a removable storage medium for storing another telephone directory database; and a control section 11 which reads individual telephone directory data of a communication partner from the telephone directory database in the internal memory 12 when performing the communication operation of equipment, communicates with the communication partner on the basis of the individual telephone directory data, and controls to store the individual telephone directory data into the telephone directory database in the external memory 13.
