PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of side effect such as jaggy even if a phenomenon such as frequency folding is included in interpolation processing of a missed color signal to a color imaging signal obtained by a single-plate imaging element. SOLUTION: An image processor includes: an imaging unit 101 including an imaging device with a color filter; a G interpolation color difference calculation unit 102 which decides a direction in which an edge is being generated in a color imaging signal, determines a region in which a pixel value becomes a high color difference equal to or higher than a predetermined value in the case that the edge direction is decided as any direction other than a specific direction, and further decides the direction of the edge in the case that the high color difference is determined; and an interpolation processing unit 103 which interpolates, smoothes pixel values of respective imaging elements along an edge portion in an oblique direction and, in the case that there is no edge, on the other hand, smoothes the pixel values of the respective imaging elements in all the directions in accordance with pixel values at surrounding pixel positions.
