MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL HAVING CHANGEABLE GROUND ARRAY AND METHOD THEREOF

A mobile communication terminal having a changeable ground array and a method using the same are provided to obtain optimum radiating characteristics of a built-in antenna by varying selectively a changeable ground array under radio wave environment varied according to peripheral environment by forming the changeable ground array in a periphery of the built-in antenna. A built-in antenna(220) is connected with a main board(210) of a mobile communication terminal in order to support at least one or more frequency bands. A plurality of changeable ground array units(250-1 to 250-n) are arranged at one side of the main board in order to secure a grounding state of the built-in antenna. A plurality of switching units(260-1 to 260-n) perform switching operations for connecting or disconnecting selectively the changeable ground array units with a grounding part of the main board according to signals transmitted or received through the built-in antenna.
