A power conversion apparatus is provided to improve efficiency of a product, to lengthen a lifetime of the product, and to enhance economical efficiency by maintaining a cooling function and maximizing frictional force by adjusting positions of grooves for cooling a frictional material and a frictional target part corresponding to the frictional material. A power conversion apparatus includes a torque converter. The torque converter includes a lock-up clutch, a front housing(120),and a frictional material(130). The frictional material has a shape of ring. The frictional material is formed between the lock-up clutch and the front housing. An outer surface of the frictional material is formed with a flat surface. A cooling groove(121) formed in the front housing. A refrigerant cooling agent is applied to the cooling groove.
