<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a fuel cell power generating device in which a high output can be obtained over a long period, without causing deterioration of the battery performance, and to provide the fuel cell power generating device. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell power generating device is provided with a fuel cell body 10 in which a plurality of unit cells interposing an electrolyte 11 by a fuel electrode 12 and an air electrode 13 are laminated, a fuel gas supply tube L1, which supplies a gas including hydrogen to the fuel electrode 12; an oxidizer gas supply tube L3 which supplies a gas containing oxygen to the air electrode 13; and a carbon monoxide-containing gas supply means which supplies carbon monoxide-containing gas at carbon monoxide concentration of 100 ppm or higher, to the fuel cell body 10 from the fuel gas supply tube L1 and/or the oxidizer gas supply tube L3 at the operation halt of the fuel cell power generating device. At the operation halt of the fuel cell power generating device, carbon monoxide-containing gas is supplied to the fuel cell body 10, and the catalyst layer of the fuel electrode 12 and/or the air electrode 13 is covered by carbon monoxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
