<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe temporarily fixing method applicable to a thin fixed object member for performing brazing thereto without temporarily fixing it with a tool. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe temporarily fixing method is provided for temporarily fixing a pipe 30 to a body 21 while applying a compressing load thereto. Herein, a receiving member having an outer face shape along the inner face shape of the body 21 is installed inside the body 21, the pipe 30 is inserted into a connection port 21a formed in the body 21 to connect the pipe 30, and moved in the axial direction, the insertion side end of the pipe 30 is pushed against a spherical face 37a of a load receiving top in linear contact therewith, and the pipe 30 is further pushed in the axial direction, whereby the compressing load work to deform the insertion side end of the pipe 30 to be expanded inside the body 21 outward in the radial direction and deform the pipe 30 to be swollen outside the body 21 outward from the connection port 21a in the radial direction.
