<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having excellent durability both in moisture resistance and heat resistance, and in which the generation of knick is suppressed as well, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In a polarizing plate, protective films are laminated on both sides of a polarizer via an adhesive. The polarizer comprises a polyvinyl alcohol based resin comprising iodine, and also contains zinc. In each protective film, water vapor permeability in an atmosphere of 90% RH at 40°C is 150 g/m<SP>2</SP>24h or below, and the adhesive comprises a polyvinyl alcohol based resin, a cross-linking agent and a metal compound colloid with the average particle diameter of 1 to 100 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
